Our skin is our largest barrier against infection so it is vital to keep it in the best condition we can. There are many things we can do to support that like following a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, using the right products for our skin type and taking regular exercise etc. But sometimes, we suffer from skin conditions that need a little more help. From acne scars, to pigmentation, rosacea and vascular lesions right through to keratosis and even removing tattoos, our collection of Harmony Laser Technologies deliver fast, long-lasting results.

Acne & Acne Scars

Defeating active acne, with lasting results

Our Harmony Erbium Pixel YAG treatment addresses all forms of acne vulgaris including papules, pustules, and nodules, while also achieving a gentle rejuvenating effect, diminishing the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen renewal. The treatment is suitable for all skin types, has no side effects and achieves a smoother complexion with lasting results.

How does it work?

This laser deeply penetrates the skin, causing thermal damage to the sebaceous glands, destroying P. acnes bacteria and reducing sebum production, while leaving the epidermis intact and improving the skin complexion permanently.

How many treatments?

Typically you will require 4-6 treatments, but we recommend you come first for a consultation so we can advise you correctly and develop a personal treatment plan.

Rosacea

An extremely precise and targeted treatment

Rosacea is a harmless but annoying long-term skin condition. It usually affects the face and can result in obvious blood vessels, redness, swelling and small pimples. Those with a tenancy to blush or flush can be more susceptible to this condition. Heat, exercise, sunlight, alcohol, hormones, and extreme temperatures are just some of the factors that can make it worse.

How does it work?

The appearance of rosacea can be successfully cleared by using Harmony’s Dye-SR and Dye-VL Technology which is an extremely precise and targeted treatment for enhanced results. Blood vessels are heated, causing them to breakdown and significantly reduce.

How many treatments?

Typically you will require 1-3 treatments, but we recommend you come first for a consultation so we can advise you correctly and develop a personal treatment plan.

Couperose

An extremely precise and targeted treatment

Couperose is a type of rosacea in which small blood vessels on the cheeks, nose, forehead or chin expand and lose their elasticity. Although it is harmless to the skin, it can be very annoying as it causes permanent redness and is sometimes accompanied by sensations of heat, burning or tingling. Using the Harmony Dye-SR Technology treatment, couperose is effectively reduced for a prolonged period of time.

Vascular Lesions

Greater precision for clear-cut results

Vascular lesions are blood vessels that are visible through the skin. They are often referred to as spider veins, port wine stains, and birth marks. They can occur on almost any part of the body, but are especially common on the face or legs. The harmless lesions look blood-colored, and often have a red or purple tint.

How does it work?

The Harmony Dye-VL and Dye-VL laser treatments are the method of choice for the removal of the appearance of vascular lesions. The lasers are directly applied to the entire area of the blemish. The veins and vessels of the lesion absorb the laser’s energy while the surrounding skin tissue does not. The treatment causes the exposed vessels to break down and become less visible.

Pigmentation

Smooth and balanced skin

Uneven skin tone, superficial pigmentation and coarse, uneven skin texture can be dramatically improved using the Harmony YAG, IPL Dye-VL and IPL Dye-SR lasers.

Significantly improve overall skin tone, elasticity and texture, increase moisture content, and reduce superficial pigmentation and pore size.

How does it work?

Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing which removes the entire top layer of the skin, Harmony YAG laser employs a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations in the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This allows the skin to heal faster as the epidermis is regenerated.

Hyperpigmentation

All-layer targeting of hyperpigmentation- including for dark skin

Hyperpigmentation is one of the most common pigmentation problems in darker skin. Often caused by an inflammation or damage to the skin such as acne, sun damage or burn, hyperpigmentation leaves darkened areas of the skin that can last months or years.

How does it work?

The appearance of pigmented lesions can be successfully cleared by inducing selective photothermolysis of the melanin chromophore in the target tissue. This can be achieved for all layers of the pigmented lesion, as well as for lesions appearing in dark skin types. Harmony’s Dye-SR and Erbium Pixel Technology are extremely precise and targeted treatments for enhanced results.

Melasma

For clearer, unblemished skin

Whilst hyperpigmentation can refer to any darkening of the skin, melasma is a skin pigment disorder that causes dark spots or patches (often on the face) which are induced by light or hormones. These spots or patches often appear for no apparent reason and can be erratic in behavior. Due to a change in hormones, it often occurs during pregnancy and can be referred to as the ‘pregnancy mask’.

How does it work?

The Harmony Q-Switched YAG laser has proven to be an invaluable tool for treating and managing melasma. This technology provides a method of targeting both the superficial melasma, and melasma that is rooted deeper in the dermis.

Typically you will require 3-5 treatments, but we recommend you come first for a consultation so we can advise you correctly and develop a personal treatment plan.

Keratosis

Kicking Keratosis to the curb

Keratosis is a growth of keratin on the skin which usually forms into a raised collection of cells forming a bump on the skin. There are multiple forms of keratosis. A couple of common forms include Actinic keratosis (sometimes also called solar keratosis) which is a pre-cancerous area of thick, scaly skin and Keratosis pilaris (often referred to as ‘chicken skin’) which is an inflammation of the hair follicle resulting in chicken skin-like bumps, redness and sometimes external skin inflammation.

How does it work?

Depending on the type of keratosis your skin is showing will depend on the kind of laser treatment recommended, often the Harmony Erbium Pixel YAG is used. All our keratosis treatments are performed by a qualified and highly experienced doctor. Please make an appointment with us to get an initial examination.

Tattoo Removal

Multi-color Tattoo Removal

Successful multi-color tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy within the absorption spectrum of a wide range of colors.

How does it work?

Our Harmony Q-Switched laser is ideal for treating darker ink colors (black, blue and green), as well as brighter ink colors (red, orange and yellow). The Q-Switched laser effect works by vibrating and breaking down the ink particles in the tattoo. As the area heals, the body’s immune system flushes away the shattered ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation.

How many treatments?

Typically you will require 8-12 treatments, but we recommend you come first for a consultation so we can advise you correctly and develop a personal treatment plan.
