At-home skincare advice for: DRY SKIN

Top Tips for Dry Skin

(1) After a good night’s sleep, always remember that your skin is feeling unloved and dried out. So every morning when you wake up, splash your face with water. Dry skin is always thirsty, especially in the morning.

(2) The good old-fashioned soap and water cleanse is a danger-zone for your skin. You should always use a cleanser that is extra mild and caring and adds moisture back into your skin (so free from any harsh chemicals).

(3) If you decide to use a toner, then make sure it is one that will NOT dry your skin out. For dry skin, a toner is not always necessary and can sometimes undo all your hard work.

(4) The most important step to your daily routine is moisturizing. If you are going to invest in one single product for dry skin - make it an exceptional moisturizer. Your skin will love you for it.

(5) Ideally, you will have chosen a moisturizer with a good sunscreen included, but it never hurts to add an extra layer of protection. Dry skin is especially vulnerable to the environment and external elements. We recommend a moisturizer with both UVA and UVB in and an SPF of at least 30.

(6) If you use make-up then ensure it is a non-drying, moisturizing kind.
